Welcome to Himalaya Carpet Industry Nepal. We specialize in handmade rugs from Nepal and hand-knotted wool rugs, crafted with care, tradition, and quality.

These Terms & Conditions govern the sale, production, and export of our Nepali hand-knotted carpets.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

1. Effective Date

These Terms are valid from August 19, 2024, to August 18, 2026.

2. Orders

• How to Order: You can place an order for custom carpet orders through our website, email, or directly with our sales team.

• Order Confirmation: Once received and processed, we’ll send a confirmation email with product details, price, and estimated delivery.

• Order Changes: Any modifications must be submitted in writing before shipment.

• Custom Orders: Each rug is handcrafted to order, ensuring a unique creation made just for you. Because of this, all sales are final.

3. Pricing & Payment

• Currency: All prices are in U.S. Dollars (USD).

• Payment Terms: Full payment is required before shipment via Bank Transfer or Letter of Credit (L/C).

• Additional Charges: Buyers are responsible for import duties, customs taxes, and fees in their country.

4. Delivery & Insurance

• Method: We provide door-to-door delivery worldwide for all Nepali hand-knotted carpets.

• Timeline: Delivery estimates are included in your confirmation. While we strive to meet deadlines, delays may occur due to shipping or customs procedures.

• Insurance: All shipments include insurance coverage against loss or damage during transit.

• Claims: If your rug is damaged or lost, please notify us within 3 days of receipt, and we’ll assist with the insurance claim process.

5. Returns & Refunds

At Himalaya Carpet Industry, every rug is crafted with passion and precision.
Because each piece is custom-made, we kindly ask that all sales are final.

If your rug arrives with a genuine manufacturing defect (such as incorrect size, pattern variation, or structural issue):

• Contact us within 72 hours of receipt.

• Provide clear photos of the issue.

• Our team will promptly review your concern and offer the best solution.

Refunds (if applicable) are issued after inspection. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

6. Natural Creases & Fiber Shifts

Slight creases or fiber movements may appear due to shipping or storage — this is normal and temporary.

They will settle naturally once the rug lies flat.

How to Smooth Your Carpet Creases:

• Unroll and flatten: Spread your carpet in a spacious, open area to allow it to lay naturally.

• Reverse roll technique: Roll the carpet in the opposite direction for a few hours to help relax stubborn folds.

• Light pressure or gentle steaming: Apply a gentle weight or use low-heat steam on creased spots to restore a smooth, even surface.

These minor effects do not affect the quality of your handmade carpets from Nepal and are not grounds for refund or replacement.

7. Warranty & Buyer Responsibilities

• All hand-knotted wool rugs come with a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.

• The warranty does not cover misuse, improper care, or normal wear and tear.

• Buyers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, and compliance with import regulations.

8. Limitation of Liability

· Our liability is limited to the value of the purchased product.

· We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.
All disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal.

10. Updates to Policy

We may update or modify these Terms at any time.
The latest version is always available on our official website and applies to new orders placed after the effective date.
